Lille defender Junior Alonso has completed a loan move to La Liga side Celta Vigo.
The 23-year-old Paraguayan moves to Galician side in a deal that includes an option to purchase the full-back at the end of the season.
Alonso did not feature in Lille’s opening day 3-1 victory over Rennes last weekend and leaves Les Dogues after arriving at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in January 2017 from Paraguayan club Cerro Porteño, making 56 appearances in all competitions for Lille.
The defender- who can operate as a left-back or as centre-back- is expected to provide defensive cover for the injured David Juncà at Balaídos.
Alonso is a Paragyuan international and has earned 16 caps since his senior debut for his country in 2013.
