OGC Nice and Lucien Favre have both this evening confirmed that their collaboration will end this season.
Speaking to Canal Plus tonight the Swiss manager had the following to say:
“I am leaving Nice, but I cannot say more… I cannot say more. (Asked if he is moving to Germany) Quite simply I cannot say more. These were two fantastic years here, I have learned a lot in France and it was superb to work here, the environment, the people, the club’s board everything was magnificent.”
OGC Nice President Rivière added in a statement:
“We want to thank him for the quality of the work he accomplished at the head of our team and for his tireless investment in our cause. He is a professional and a great man. We wish him the best of success for his next challenge.”
Despite his elusiveness, Favre is expected to be announced as Dortmund’s new manager on Monday or Tuesday.
