Official | Patrice Garande quits position as SM Caen manager

Speaking in a press conference following a 0-0 draw with PSG tonight which officially saved his side from relegation to Ligue 2, SM Caen manager Patrice Garande announced his departure from the club.

“Yesterday, I met the new president, Gilles Sergent. During this meeting we discussed… the possibility of arranging a meeting on Sunday were we to stay in Ligue 1 to discuss working together in the future… but I told him that owing to my relationship with Jean-François Fortin (former Caen president, who was recently forced out), I could not be the Caen manager next season.”
