AS Saint Étienne have confirmed the loan signing of defender Timothée Kolodziejczak from Mexican side Tigres UANL.
The 26-year-old returns to Ligue 1 on a loan agreement that includes the option to purchase the defender for €5m.
Kolodziejczak moved to the Liga MX club in September last year- where he played alongside fellow Frenchman André-Pierre Gignac- although the former Sevilla defender only appeared on eight occasions last season.
The Arras-born defender becomes the third recruit at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard following the transfers of Wabhi Khazri and the permanent signing of Mathieu Debuchy.
Kolodziejczak expressed his delight in sealing the move to the club’s website: “I am very happy to sign at Saint-Etienne and train with this group. ASSE is a big club and I hope to write a new page with a team that counts on the support of an extraordinary crowd”.
