Sides expected to lodge 11th hour bids as Alassane Pléa’s Gladbach move edges closer

OGC Nice and German side Gladbach yesterday reached an agreement worth €23m plus bonuses for the transfer of French forward Alassane Pléa.

As reported by L’Équipe this morning, a deal is expected to be wrapped up in the next 48 hours.

However, there remains a technical detail that Nice need to sort out. Lyon have a 20% sell-on clause included in the deal and OGCN want OL to waive that right in exchange for another proposition that the Côte d’Azur club have put on the table for Les Gones, the nature of which has not filtered through.

As reported by Manu Lonjon this morning, it is expected that multiple sides make 11th hour proposals for Pléa in an attempt to block the deal, with significant interest from the Premier League as well as from Sevilla, who last night formulated a €20m bid for the player according to France Football.
