The ding-dong battle between Ligue 1 duo Rennes and St Étienne for Tunisian international attacker Wahbi Khazri has been well-documented, but it appears that the latter club have finally won the race, according to L’Équipe.
St Étienne have agreed a €7m plus €3m bonuses fee with Sunderland to sign the 27-year-old, who is now set to pen a 4-year contract with Les Verts, earning a gross annual salary of €4m.
