Stéphane M’Bia has today taken to Instagram to announce his imminent move to Toulouse.
The 32-year-old is currently a free agent after a two-year spell playing in the Chinese Super League for Hebei China Fortune, where he made 41 appearances, scoring 10 goals in all competitions.
The former Sevilla and Marseille man has signed a one-year contract for Alain Casanova’s side and had only recently been linked with a move to English Premier League side Burnley.
M’Bia is a defensive midfielder by trade – who can also operate in defence- and will provide a physical presence and sense of tenaciousness to a Toulouse side who in May this year, required a two-legged play-off victory over Ligue 2 side Ajaccio to secure their top flight status for this season.
His statement via social media read “I’m very happy and proud to announce my signature in the coming days at Toulouse FC. It is with great joy that I return to Ligue 1”.
