France Football report this morning that FC Cincinnati will be signing Ligue 2 side ESTAC Troyes’ full-back Mathieu Deplagne.
The 27-year-old has reached an agreement with the MLS outfit and will undergo a medical next week ahead of signing a 3-year deal with the Ohio based club.
The former Montpellier man arrived at ESTAC last season, at which point he signed a deal until 2020. He has played just twice in Ligue 2 for the club so far this campaign and is embarking on a US adventure for a club who is integrating Major League Soccer next year, with a brand new stadium to be unveiled in 2021.
Cincinnati were previously in the United Soccer League, the equivalent of the US second division, with an average attendance of 24,500 per match.
