PSG manager Unai Emery gave a farewell message at the Parc des Princes just before his players lifted the Hexagoal trophy this evening, despite losing to Rennes, 2-0, on the night, on behalf of him and his assistants.
“This is Paris! I want to thank everyone. I thank the president. I thank my staff. They are behind me and do incredible work. I want to thank everyone who has worked with us. I want to thank all of the players. We have also learnt a lot alongside them. Finally I want to thank all the PSG fans. You are always here. For us, it was very special to be here because of you. There is a special atmosphere here, a special connection with the team. We are happy with the work we have done, it has been an experience for us. PSG have a very solid project. This project with all of the fans behind it. We give us strength. With the patience and consistency in work, they must go after the Champions’ League in the future. Come on PSG!”
