West Ham United in talks for Gary Medel & set to sign Samir Nasri – report

French outlet Paris United’s European arm are reporting this Christmas Day that West Ham United will be signing Samir Nasri to a short-term contract once his WADA-initiated anti-doping ban from competitive action expires next month.

The French attacking midfielder would be first eligible to play for the Hammers on the 2nd of January against Brighton in the Premier League, should the London side go through with offering the Frenchman a deal.

The outlet, which boasts a series of strong sources from inside Besiktas in Turkey, additionally claim that West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini has initiated negotiations with the club over the possible transfer of defensive midfielder and versatile defender Gary Medel.

The Hammers are reportedly seeking a deal under €5m for the 31-year-old.
