Arsenal have had at least one formal bid for Dayot Upamecano rejected

L’Équipe report that German side RB Leipzig have knocked back a €60m proposal for French central defender Dayot Upamecano from Arsenal.

The Bundesliga club do not want to let go of their 20-year-old central defender. The newspaper expects the Gunners to come in again.

La Voix du Nord however claim that Arsenal have in fact had two proposals rejected for the player, the last one being worth close to €70m. They talk about this pursuit in line with the €1.2m youth development fee that Ligue 2 side Valenciennes would be due if a deal comes off.

The latter outlet believes that Arsenal are still trying to convince Leipzig to do a deal.

Tick tock…
