RMC report that Bordeaux have agreed a deal with Arsenal for 33-year-old central defender Laurent Koscielny worth up to €6m.
Discussions accelerated last weekend between the two sides and the defender will sign a 3-year contract with Bordeaux today should he pass a medical, which he is currently undergoing.
Koscielny had always preferred a move to Les Girondins over Rennes this summer, because they were offering him a considerable contract from a financial perspective and it allows him to move geographically closer to his family based at Corrèze.
Sources tell Get French Football News that Rennes President Létang has been massively caught out, having been due to have a meeting with Arsenal on Thursday to continue talks to bring the Frenchman in.
“Lolo” is set to become the first marquee signing of Joe DaGrosa’s project with Bordeaux.
