Speaking at today’s press conference designed to announce the signings of Naldo, William Vainqueur and Cesc Fabregas, journalists took the opportunity to ask AS Monaco Vice President Vadim Vasilyev about his ongoing pursuit of Belgian international striker Michy Batshuayi.
“We have an agreement with the player and with Valencia, but for the moment things are blocked with Chelsea. They are more interested in doing a transfer (than a loan) for the moment. Everything can go quickly in football but for the moment it is blocked. We are already very happy with our January transfer window. An attacker would help us, but for the moment we are not there. We are not going to do crazy things, we will see if there could be a very nice opportunity.”
