Speaking in a press conference this morning in an unveiling press conference for Swiss left-back Loris Benito and South Korean international forward Ui-Jo Hwang, Bordeaux Head of Recruitment Eduardo Macia and manager Paulo Sousa insisted that they have not given up on signing Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny.
Eduardo Macia: “Of course if the opportunity presents itself, we would be delighted to bring him in.”
Sousa: “He is a leader, an intelligent defender and one of the best defenders that I have ever seen in my career. It would be incredible to have a player of his quality at Bordeaux. But he is under contract with Arsenal. For the moment, we cannot say more, he is a player who is still under a contract with Arsenal.”
