Bordeaux met with Arsenal today for Laurent Koscielny

L’Équipe report that Bordeaux board members Hugo Varela and Eduardo Macia were in London today to meet with Arsenal representatives in their latest bid to convince the Premier League club to enable 33-year-old French defender Laurent Koscielny to be allowed to join them for free.

Koscielny has another 12 months remaining on his Arsenal contract, but the Gunners want around €10m in order to sell.

Les Girondins are understood to be willing to pay some sort of transfer fee, but not what is currently being demanded.

It is currently unclear what the outcome of today’s meeting was.
