Bordeaux set to let Jérôme Prior leave on a free transfer

With 12 month remaining on his current contract, Ligue 1 side Bordeaux are set to allow 23-year-old goalkeeper Jérôme Prior leave on a free transfer this summer, according to L’Équipe.

With 42 professional matches under his belt, Prior has been unable to compete effectively with Benoît Costil for the number one shirt at Les Girondins this season.

Fellow French top flight club Angers SCO are interested in bringing Prior in to act as competition for Ludovic Butelle.

Alexandre Letellier, who has spent this season on loan at Ligue 2 side Troyes, is no longer in Angers’ plans and will be encouraged to leave. Their current second choice goalkeeper, Zacharie Boucher, who is on loan from Auxerre, will return there next month.
