French manager Bruno Genesio has been awarded a 12-month contract extension by Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan after guiding the team to a 2nd placed finish this season.
His charges finished the campaign two points behind eventual title winners Guangzhou Evergrande. His initial deal ran 6 months until this month, having got back into work almost immediately after leaving his post at Lyon in June.
