Cesc Fabregas supports VAR: “I think that it is going to improve football.”

Speaking in an interview with RMC, AS Monaco midfielder Cesc Fabregas indicated that he supported the use of VAR.

“I am for VAR. I think that it is going to improve football. But if you look at my recent action (which he was suspended for 3 matches for after an accidental stamp on Lyon right-back Léo Dubois) with VAR with slow-mo highlights, we are going to lose the essence of football. If we watch everything in slow-motion, everything could be interpreted as a foul. So, I can understand that after looking at VAR, I was given a red card. Yes, I can understand it, because I touched him and that can be dangerous.”
