L’Équipe report that Ligue 1 strugglers Dijon have opened negotiations with counterparts Strasbourg over the possible signing of 28-year-old striker Nuno Da Costa.
The Cape Verde international is under contract with RCSA until 2021 and scored 8 goals last season.
Talks are progressing surprisingly well between the two clubs and sources close to negotiations claim that a deal could be concluded after Strasbourg’s Europa League qualifying clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.
It is unclear how willing Da Costa is to make the move – he has started just one of three Ligue 1 matches so far this season.
If he leaves, RCSA will sign a replacement. They are also in the market for a midfielder and have initiated conversations to sign Ligue 2 side EA Guingamp midfielder Lebogang Phiri.
