Everton have 2nd bid for Abdoulaye Doucouré turned down

RMC and L’Équipe report that Everton have had an improved, €40m proposal for French midfielder Abdoulaye Doucouré rejected by Premier League rivals Watford, after an initial €32m offer was turned down at the weekend.

The Hornets’ owner has zero intention of allowing the Frenchman to depart, but Everton boss Marco Silva has no intention of giving up, and a third bid is likely to be made by The Toffees between now and Thursday’s deadline.

If a deal is not accomplished this summer, Everton will be back in the January window.
