Ex-Antoine Griezmann adviser Eric Olhats speaks on his tough start to Barcelona: “He committed a crime against the king (Messi).”

Speaking on RMC show Le Vestiaire, current Atletico Madrid scout Eric Olhats sought to explain his former client Antoine Griezmann’s tough start to life at FC Barcelona, suggesting that his decision not to join the Catalan giants already in 2018 may have left a sour taste in the mouth of certain individuals at FCB.

“Last year, they were calling him, when I was still in charge of the player’s affairs (Antoine Griezmann), even the God (Messi) called him. (He committed) a crime against the king (Messi), because he called and Griezmann decided not to go. I understand the booing (that Atletico Madrid fans gave Griezmann at the weekend). We’ve all been there when the pretty girl leaves us. He was a boy who was adored. We can understand why he wanted to see something else.”
