Speaking to Get French Football News, the agent of Lille’s latest attacking recruit Virgiliu Postolachi, Simon Festinesi, has said that the forward had been on his new club’s radar for months before the move was finalised.
Represented by the BS & Partners agency, the 19-year-old was not in Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the upcoming campaign. It’s hoped that his move up north will be a catalyst for a breakout season further down the line, as he enjoys more regular game time.
“Lille are always on the lookout for young, talented players. They were following Virgiliu for two months, and they knew they could get him as PSG were not looking to involve him in the first team. They knew who he was, they think that they can be a good platform for him to keep improving – that in the next 2-3 years, hopefully he can gain experience then break out onto the main scene.”
