L’Équipe report that Fenerbahce Sporting Director Damien Comolli has made St Étienne midfielder Yann M’Vila a financially impressive 4-year contract proposal.
The salary on offer is not as much as the €6m a year net that the ex-Sunderland man earned during his Rubin Kazan days, but considerably more than the €2.5m a year pre-tax that he currently earns with Les Verts.
This opportunity is making the former French international think about his future with Europa League-qualified St Étienne, at the age of 29, this could be his last considerable contract.
However, the Turkish giants are yet to make a formal bid to the Ligue 1 side. They may wish to do so quickly, as they are not the only club interested in acquiring his services.
West Ham United and Crystal Palace have positioned themselves and are both expected to make concrete moves rapidly for the Frenchman, with the Premier League window closing on 8th August.
M’Vila has never hid the fact that he would have liked to remain in the Premier League since he left Sunderland in 2016.
Whilst he has not made a decision yet as to whether or not he wants to leave St Étienne, if he decided that he did, then the Premier League would be his preferred destination.
St Étienne will want at least €10m for a player under contract until 2022.
