Speaking in an interview with Canal +, Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp reflected on the fact that his squad does not have a single French player in it.
“There’s no reason for it, there’s no reason for it. Kylian plays for PSG (laughs). Griezmann has joined Barcelona. Obviously you know how good your team is. We would like a French player but some of them are too expensive for us!”
On being a football manager:
I am not sure that we are special people, but it is a special job 100%. You have to combine a few skills, nowadays even more so. Sitting here and not being really bothered about a camera being 20cm apart from me, that’s one part that you cannot really learn that. Whatever you do is judged now. Means we win, I am the greatest. We lose, I have no clue about football. We draw, let’s see how it is next week.
