Speaking to France Football, French and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema discussed the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.
“Before, there was someone in our team who scored more than 50 goals a season and me, I was in a role of providing assists… I used to play for Cristiano. We formed a good duo. I was constantly looking for him with the aim of helping him to score even more goals… Now, I am the leader of the attack. It is up to me to make the difference. I am very happy because I get to play my real football.”
