France Football report that Championship leaders Leeds United have made an approach fo 26-year-old Dijon midfielder Mehdi Abeid.
The Algerian international, who plays primarily as an attacking midfielder, is out of contract this June, and Dijon are interested in the possibility of earning a transfer fee for a player who they are currently set to lose for nothing come summer.
This season, Abeid has been an important part of Dijon’s set-up, scoring 3 times in 16 games in a side currently devoid of confidence.
Abeid has been in England before, notably with a spell at Newcastle United between 2013 and 2015.
He can play anywhere across the midfield, deep-lying creator, or attacking midfielder.
