Ligue 2 side Niort to sign Nantes keeper Quentin Braat

The reliable Benjamin Quarez reports that Ligue 2 side Niort have concluded an agreement with Nantes to sign 21-year-old goalkeeper Quentin Braat on loan without an option to buy.

This, despite the fact that Braat is out of contract with Les Canaris in 12 months time.

The U19s world champion with France un 2016, Braat has had to patiently wait for his chance in the professional leagues, and the arrival of Alban Lafont put the final nail in the coffin of Braat receiving playing time with Ligue 1 side Nantes in the short-term future.

He is expected to sign his contract with Niort on Monday. Braat has already visited the club’s facilities last week and he arrives as competition for 25-year-old shot-stopper Saturnin Allagbé, who is currently participating in AFCON for Benin.
