As initially reported by Mohamed Toubache-TER and since claimed by La Voix du Nord and France Football, 20-year-old Charleroi winger Victor Osimhen appears set to become Lille’s replacement for Nicolas Pépé this summer.
The 20-year-old Nigerian is going to participate in this summer’s AFCON in Egypt and has permanently joined the Belgian outfit who activated a €3.5m option to purchase the player outright from Wolfsburg.
It is expected that Charleroi will immediately sell him this summer – although Les Dogues have yet to make a concrete offer – multiple reliable sources indicate that he is their elected choice to replace outgoing Ivorian attacker Nicolas Pépé. The Belgian club are set to ask for €10m in order to sell the player. It is believed that Lille’s hesitation to conclude a deal comes from the fact that they are still weighing up a formal offer for Watford winger Dodi Lukebakio.
