Lille President Gérard Lopez opens the door to selling Nicolas Pépé to PSG

Speaking in an interview with Le Parisien, Lille President Gérard Lopez discussed the future of star Ivorian attacker Nicolas Pépé.

“It is no secret: we have had a lot of approaches for Nicolas Pépé and we will never be able to match the salary that he could have else where. It is clear that he will leave for a big club. I want him to go to a club that gives him the capacity to do more than what he could do at Lille. It doesn’t matter where. This is not an invitation to PSG but I would be very happy to see Nico continue in Ligue 1 and in France, and there is only one club that could be able to get a player like him here. But he is very closely followed in all the leagues. Nico is someone very measured and has a very Cartesian approach to football. He will make the best choice.”
