Speaking at a press conference to announce the arrival of Jean-Luc Vasseur as the new manager of Lyon’s women’s team, President Aulas discussed the future of multiple members of the squad.
On Tanguy Ndombele & an eventual offer from Tottenham:
In terms of the chronology, before accepting the transfer of Ferland Mendy to Madrid, we signed the young international U17 Belgian, Heritier Deyonge, from PSV Eindhoven. What I can say to you is if you see a very good box-to-box midfield youngster arrive, in the coming days, then there will be a chance that Tanguy Ndombele leaves, but for the moment, we have not received offers of the level that we feel is a just price.
On Anthony Lopes:
We have seen Anthony’s agents a second time, to express my opinion on their demands, which I view to not conform with the European and world standards in this position. Anthony is a very good goalkeeper, and we are very fond of him at Lyon, but we are also fond of our financial performance. Like all players who are one year away from the end of their contract, if he wants to leave and we can’t reach an agreement, then we will help him. But for the moment, there is no movement in that directly. Our desire is for him to sign a new deal.
We have had one offer at the beginning of the window, which didn’t become concrete. And then, Marcelo told us that he wanted to stay at Lyon.
On Rayan Cherki and an eventual professional contract:
We are doing everything we can to make him sign, we have never been closer. I hope that we will arrive at an agreement with them as quickly as possible, but we are confident.
On Nabil Fékir:
I have not had any recent news. The last bit of news we’ve had was when we were together at the Elysee when he received the Légion d’Honneur with the French national team. His preference is a departure. We are open to discussions, we leave the door ajar for Nabil but for the moment, there are no offers.
On Bertrand Traoré, who has received some interest from Tottenham:
There as well, we had a long discussion on him with Juninho and Sylvinho, the door seems absolutely closed in terms of a departure.
On Filipe Luis, Atletico Madrid left-back:
We met with him recently, we went to see the Brazilian national team during our visit. He wants to take his time and nothing will be done before the end of the Copa America in July. But he is one of the players who interests us a lot.
