Ligue 1 side Lyon will make an opening loan with option to buy offer to Portuguese side Benfica for 20-year-old Portuguese attacking midfielder Gedson Fernandes, according to RMC.
Fernandes has played just 12 matches for SLB this season and will be the subject of a bid from Lyon as soon as President Jean-Michel Aulas returns from his holidays.
The offer will be a loan with option to buy. Benfica want that option to be worth no less than €40m, with Inter Milan also interested. This could pose a problem for OL, who don’t appear willing to pay such an amount in summer and are hopeful of negotiating that amount down.
