Marseille players handed €10k bonus after beating Lyon 2-1

L’Équipe report that Marseille have handed every player involved in last night’s 2-1 victory over Lyon a €10k bonus for their efforts.

The outlet claims that club manager André Villas-Boas joked in the dressing room at full-time that President Jacques-Henri Eyraud should give each player a €50k bonus “for a victory like that.”

Eyraud did not match this jovial request, but did hand out a bonus worth a fifth of that. Eyraud is no stranger to handing players bonuses for one-off victories, giving out a €5k bonus when OM beat Monaco on 15th September (2-4).
