Late on Friday night, Arsenal and French midfielder Mattéo Guendouzi penned a farewell letter to the now departed manager Unai Emery.
Posted on Twitter, his social media team’s French to English translation left a little to be desired, so we have done the honours for them:
“Coach. Thank you for everything that you have done for me, I will never be able to be grateful enough. You have made me grow up as a footballer and as a man so much. I have reached the level that I am at thanks to you and your work. I have progressed enormously and taken many steps forward. You are a great man and a brilliant coach. I wish you lots of happiness and success in your future endeavours. Thanks coach.”
