L’Équipe report that 37-year-old Saudi Arabian Royal Court advisor Turki Al-Sheikh is interested in buying a share of Ligue 1 side Amiens.
Saudi outlet Arriyadiyah reported that the individual in question was close to buying either Granada or Amiens, but in reality Al-Sheikh’s eyes have fallen squarely on the Picardy club.
Speaking to the newspaper, Amiens President Bernard Joannin confirmed this:
“And he is not alone. I would not be against shareholders who enable us to progress. I am proud that investors are interested in Amiens.”
Al-Sheikh has just sold Egyptian club Pyramids FC, one year after buying them.
