L’Est Républicain report that a Moroccan group have made an offer to purchase Ligue 2 side Sochaux from Chinese group LEDUS.
In order for FCSM to escape the wrath of the French football financial watchdog, the DNCG, this company, called Green Plus which specialises in agriculture, would have to put up €4m to satisfy French football’s policeman was well as €3.5m to buy the rest of Sochaux. The DNCG have provisionally decided to relegate Sochaux owing to a lack of a balanced budget, but FCSM are confident that the sales of Jeando Fuchs and Lucien Agoumé should balance the books.
At the moment, the Moroccan group are sounding out the situation to get more financial and legal guarantees before seeking to conclude the negotiation.
The Chinese group currently in place intend to make any deal as difficult as possible and wish to recoup the maximum amount for their football club.
