Ligue 1 side Nantes have made an approach for French and Frankfurt central defender Simon Falette, according to Ouest France and 20 Minutes.
Les Canaris are looking to replace Kara Mbodji, whose loan spell from Anderlecht was cut short after the Senegalese international defender had a row with manager Vahid Halilhodžić.
Falette has only played 8 games so far this season for the Bundesliga outfit, at left-back and at centre-back.
For the moment, the player is not interested in a return to France, having received an approach from Nantes about 10 days ago and not responding.
FCN had also thought about Monaco defender Almamy Touré, who also can play across the back four, but the Franco-Malian’s ASM contract expires at the end of the season & is interested in moving abroad.
