Accused of rape, PSG attacker Neymar spoke to investigators in Brazil last night.
In a dark suit and on crutches, Neymar appeared at a São Paulo police station to testify and answer charges of raping Brazilian female Najila Trindade. Ney spoke with investigators for 5 hours, and pled his innocence.
Globo report that the PSG forward explained to the authorities that his sexual activities with Ms Trindade were “consensual” and that Trindade “asked to be spanked,” a request that he has admitted to complying with. Medical examinations in São Paulo revealed large dark bruises on the buttocks and legs of the accuser.
RMC understand that their second encounter, the one which has seen footage of it leaked on the internet, was explained by Neymar as follows: Trindade slapped him, leaving Ney to exit the situation rapidly.
This is the second time that the player has been heard by the police. At the beginning of June, he presented himself to police officers for invasion of privacy charges when he released the WhatsApp conversations with the accuser onto the internet via an Instagram video.
On Monday, Ms Trindade was dropped by a third consecutive lawyer, Danilo Garcia de Andrade, after it emerged she was being accused of being involved in a separate alleged robbery.
