Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed earlier today that Les Gones had agreed to buy left-back Youssouf Koné from Lille for €9m.
Aulas indicated that the deal would be completed fully after the 23-year-old Malian international’s participation at AFCON was over.
He also indicated that Lille retain a sell-on fee percentage clause in the deal – reports from L’Équipe that the player reneged on a provisional contract agreement and asked for a higher salary are understood to have been wide of the mark.
