Ligue 1 side St Étienne today confirmed the departures of three players to Ligue 2 side Nancy.
The first is Kenny Rocha, who leaves permanently. The Cape Verde international central midfielder joined Les Verts in 2015, signing a professional contract a year later and discovering Ligue 1 in 2017. He signed an extension last season until 2023 with ASSE, but has played mainly for the reserve team.
Another two players, Makhtar Gueye and Vagner Dias, also head to ASNL, but on loan without an option to buy. The former is a Senegalese forward who ASSE have under contract until 2023, but for the latter (another Cape Verde international) this is his second loan spell with Nancy, who he scored six times for in their battle against relegation last season. He has also signed a new deal with Les Verts until 2022.
