Official | St Étienne sign Ryad Boudebouz from Real Betis in €4m deal

Ligue 1 side St Étienne earlier today announced the signing of Algerian international attacking midfielder Ryad Boudebouz from Real Betis for an undisclosed fee believed to be worth €4m.

The 29-year-old has signed a 3-year contract with Les Verts will wear the #7 shirt vacated by Remy Cabella, who has departed for Krasnodar in Russia for €12m.

Boudebouz had the following to say on the move:

“I am very happy and proud to sign for St Étienne. I am aware that I am joining one of the biggest French clubs. Physically I feel ready and can’t wait to be part of the squad. I hope to quickly integrate myself as I already know Ghislain Printant, who was my manager at Bastia, but also Julien Sablé, who I played with in Corsica. Wahbi Khazri is also one of my former team-mates at Bastia and I got to know Yann M’Vila with the France U19s. I like intense atmospheres like the one at Geoffroy-Guichard and it is a privilege to play in front of such fans.”
