Ligue 1 side St Étienne have this evening announced the arrival of ex-French international central midfielder Yohan Cabaye on a free transfer.
The 33-year-old will wear the #29 shirt for Les Verts and has signed a 12 month contract. Cabaye was without a club since January when he terminated his deal with Al-Nasr Dubai.
The ex-Lille, PSG, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace midfielder had the following to say on the move:
“It is with great joy and pride that I sign for St Étienne. I aspire to rediscover all my form as quickly as possible. In the image of the club, I have the ambition of having a very good season. With Mathieu Debuchy, I am joining up with a friend. His presence played a role in my decision.”
