Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt wants to take a few more days worth of holiday before revealing his future destination, according to RMC.
The outlet claims that the player is currently in the United States and more precisely in Miami, although family Instagram footage indicates instead that he may in fact be in the Bahamas.
After weeks of negotiations, de Ligt has decided to wait until the end of his holidays before choosing his next destination.
The Ajax defender has had multiple conversations with the PSG board and has also asked multiple team-mates at Dutch national team level during the UEFA Nations League, like Memphis Depay, about the quality of Ligue 1.
PSG President Al Khelaifi is making the signing of De Ligt his summer transfer window priority, and at the moment the outlet claims that Les Parisiens and Juventus are the most persistent for the player’s signature.
The Juventus Sporting Director, Fabio Paratici, has notably met with Mino Raiola, the player’s agent, on multiple occasions recently.
A source close to Barcelona has denied claims that FCB have pulled out of the race to sign the player, adding that the mythical link between the Dutch and Barcelona is a factor that they believe may count in their favour.
On top of that, Real Madrid have in recent hours made an approach for Matthijs de Ligt, simply to understand if the Dutchman has already chosen his future club and to know what his contractual demands would be.
