PSG making moves to beef up youth & reserve squads

PSG are looking to restructure their youth and reserve team set-up to include a great number of players within them next season, according to RMC.

The impending summer transfer revolution will begin in the youth categories – PSG are following the progress of 18-year-old AS Nancy attacking midfielder Bilel Hassaini – the U17 French youth international has not signed a professional contract with ASNL and could join Les Parisiens for free on a 3-year contract. Jaime Teixeira is leading the negotiations and has been in talks with the player’s representatives for several weeks to get the deal over the line. PSG are in pole position to land the teen, but Valencia and Barcelona are also there. The Catalan club, alerted to the fact that negotiations between Hassaini and PSG have gone on for an abnormally long time, in recent hours made a concrete offer of their own.

PSG don’t intend to stop there – the much touted Japanese wonder-kid, Takefusa Kubo of FC Tokyo fame, is a name on their short-list. They however sit behind Barcelona, but especially Real Madrid in trying to conclude a deal for the 17-year-old. The Japanese attacker is however attracted to PSG’s interest…

This overhaul will be uncompromising and Antero Henrique will not stand in the way of the departure of existing youth prospects should they so wish. All of Christopher Nkunku, Stanley N’Soki, Moussa Diaby, but also Arthur Zagre, Loïc Mbe Soh and Junior Dina Ebimbe will be sold if an interesting offer is made and the inclusion of sell-on percentage clauses will also be a part of this plan, aimed to raise increased funds.
