PSG to conclude €32m deal for Abdou Diallo (Dortmund)

As reported by RMCGoal France and L’Équipe, PSG will imminently conclude a €32m deal with Borussia Dortmund to sign France U21s international and captain Abdou Diallo.

The 23-year-old will shortly arrive in Paris, having informed team-mates Raphaël Guerreiro and Dan-Axel Zagadou this afternoon that he was heading off, with his medical already set to occur within the next 48 hours.

For the last 5 days, PSG Sporting Director Leonardo has been in active negotiations with Dortmund, who were obligated to sell a defender following the arrival of Mats Hummels.

An agreement has been reached between the two clubs, which meant that all that was left for PSG to achieve was to convince the player to come, which happened quickly once Diallo was informed that he was manager Thomas Tuchel’s priority choice.

Leonardo presented the project to Diallo, who was quickly convinced, and has now agreed provisional contract terms with PSG for a long-term deal.

The player has shown himself to be capable of playing at left-back or centrally and his versatility will be appreciated by Tuchel.

Manu Lonjon insists that the deal should go through in the next 48 hours.
