French newspaper La Tribune is reporting that the Emir of Qatar is prepared to cancel a €2bn military vehicle contract with a French company after the authorities began an investigation last May into his close associate PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi over possible corruption.

Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani is apparently ready to cancel the contract with Nexter, a company that belongs to the French state, for 490 military vehicles. The Emir is said to have requested that his Minister of Defence to begin the process of finding another firm to make this order with.
Florence Parly, the French Minister of the Army, was in Qatar on Monday. She was due to meet with the Emir and his ministry of defence to find a solution.
