Rennes up gears in pursuit of Flavien Tait

L’Équipe report this morning that Ligue 1 side Rennes have accelerated discussions in recent days over the possible signing of Angers attacker Flavien Tait.

Rennes President Létang has been in discussions with Angers’ DG Olivier Pickeu on the subject in recent days and is determined to figure out precisely what size bid SCO would want to convince them to part with the Frenchman.

Angers are willing to sell Tait this summer, with the player under contract until 2022 and according to the newspaper worth between €6m and €8m on the French market, having scored 5 goals and laid on 9 assists this season.

Tait is understood to be interested in a move to the Brittany club.
