Robert Lewandowski: “Now we are all going to have to learn French!”

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Téléfoot, Polish international striker and Bayern Munich attacker Robert Lewandowski discussed the French players at the Bundesliga club, his standing in world football and more.

On if he is the best #9 in the world:

I am doing everything to be it, but I do not think about whether or not I am number one. Each time, I have to prove things on the pitch, ideally I score and the team wins. I am very happy with my career to date, I am playing for one of the best clubs in the world.

On the French players at Bayern Munich:

We have three Frenchmen in this team, I have a fantastic relationship with Franck Ribéry, a very funny player, he is 35 or 36 but he is a super professional on and off the pitch. Kingsley Coman is also great too, with enormous potential and he can become a super player, he is quick with the ball. Tolisso is injured but he has always played well with us. Pavard, I have already played against him, he is a very good player, for him this will be a new step in his career, it is a very good transfer for Bayern. Hernandez, I know him too. Before there were a lot of Spanish players here, now we are all going to have to learn French!

On France & if his wife wants him to move to Paris:

Yes, I have already had the opportunity to sign with clubs in France in the past. No, I have never heard anything so stupid, it has nothing to do with that. Sometimes, there are lots of factors.
