Sébastien Haller edging closer to West Ham United

L’Équipe report that 25-year-old French forward Sébastien Haller is edging closer to a move to Premier League side West Ham United, in a deal orchestrated by Willie McKay.

The Eintracht Frankfurt forward was not initially keen on the move, but the ever-persuasive McKay appears to have changed the former FC Utrecht man’s mind.

The clubs have agreed a €40m fee, and contractual discussions between Haller and the Hammers will occur this weekend and whilst there is no assurance that they will conclude successfully, English sources are confident. A positive sign for this deal is that Frankfurt appear convinced that this is happening, having already activated agents in recent hours to find a replacement.
