Cameroonian international winger Paul-Georges Ntep is in advanced negotiations with Ligue 1 strugglers Caen about a loan move until the end of the season from Wolfsburg, according to L’Équipe.
The 26-year-old attacker’s time in the Bundesliga has been torrid, playing just 15 times since his arrival in 2017.
SMC are not alone in their interest, with Nantes having enquired in the event of a potential Emiliano Sala departure and Guingamp have also made their interest known.
At the moment, Caen lead the race, a club that is willing to guarantee Ntep a starting berth.
Outside of France, Torino and Alavés have been in contact with Ntep’s entourage, but the player wants to return to the country where he made a name for himself at Rennes.
