L’Équipe report that Czech international shot-stopper Tomas Koubek is leaving Rennes for €7m to €8m for Bundesliga side FC Augsburg.
He will sign a 4-year contract with the Germans after being forced out of the Brittany side by President Olivier Létang.
The 27-year-old was visibly emotional when discussing his departure with French media following playing his final game for Rennes in the Trophée des Champions at the weekend:
